St. Cloud and central Minnesota.

Homes, businesses and farm buildings along the Mississippi in central Minnesota, close to home for us.

A central Minnesota city

St. Cloud straddles the Mississippi where Stearns, Benton and Sherburne counties meet. Its housing ranges from older homes near downtown and the river to post-war ramblers and newer subdivisions on the edges of the city and in the surrounding towns. Commercial and light industrial buildings, many with low-slope roofs, line the main corridors, and just outside the city the farm country begins, with steel-roofed outbuildings and barns.

Storms and winters in the St. Cloud area

Central Minnesota sits squarely in the path of summer thunderstorms that bring hail and straight-line winds, and open country around the city lets that wind build. Winters are long and cold, with snow load and ice dams on homes that lack good attic ventilation. Storms often hit a farmstead’s house, shop and sheds at once, and we document each building on the site.

Close to home

Aaron’s family has been in the Sauk Centre area, just up I-94, for more than thirty years, so central Minnesota is home ground. We know the drive, the towns and the kind of buildings out here.

What we see most around St. Cloud

Ice dams on 1950s through 1970s homes with limited attic ventilation and older insulation. Wind-lifted shingles on homes at the edge of open fields. Low-slope sections over additions and porches that leak where they meet the main roof. Aging steel on shops and machine sheds outside town, sometimes with fasteners that have backed out over years of temperature swings. Gutters and fascia that need attention every time the roof does. Each of those goes into the written record so the quote addresses the cause, not just the symptom.

How we work

Every job starts with a documented walk of the whole property: roof, gutters, siding and any outbuildings you want looked at. The quote comes out of that record and you keep the record whether or not you hire us. If you file a claim after a storm, we work with your adjuster at your request; we never waive deductibles.

Request an inspection

The inspection costs you nothing. The record is yours whether or not you hire us.
