Insurance claims
Your claim, with a record behind it.
What we do, what we will not do, and how our documentation fits into an insurance claim.
What we will do
- Inspect the roof and exterior and document storm damage with located, dated photos and measurements.
- Prepare a written scope of the work the building needs.
- Meet your adjuster on site at your request and walk the roof with them.
- Provide our documentation to you, and to your carrier when you ask us to.
- Build the approved scope with the right crew for each system.
What we will not do
- Interpret your insurance policy or tell you what it covers.
- Advise you on coverage or on how much your claim is worth.
- Adjust or negotiate your claim, or act as your representative with your carrier. We are not public adjusters.
- Pay, absorb, rebate or waive any part of your deductible. Minnesota law prohibits it (Minn. Stat. § 325E.66).
- Offer gifts, discounts or incentives tied to filing or signing, or pressure you to sign anything on the day of the inspection.
How it usually goes
You call your carrier and open a claim if you choose to. We inspect and document. If you ask us to, we meet the adjuster on the roof with our record in hand. The carrier makes its decision. If you hire us, the work is built to the scope that was approved, and any supplements go through the carrier with documentation, not phone calls.
Questions about coverage, deductibles or settlement belong with your carrier or your own advisor. Questions about what is on the roof belong with us.
